chrome OS seen as an ambitious move by google

As Google has started to take on the path of operating systems with its recently announced chrome OS that is to be released in later 2010 aiming at netbooks.
This is slated to be an open source software.
But it seems that the path may not be rosy for the search engine giants as reviews suggest that the open source community may not be so happy with this futuristic ambition of google.
Also given the competition that it stands out for on this new venture is tough as they are taking a step into the field where microsoft are clear leaders for so much time now.
As the major products of google are free of charge and the major source of the revenue is from advertising, this is going to be an important test for google to see how many people are willing to pay for there new OS over windows.

the announcement of chrome os

The google chrome OS has been officially announced to be released in the latter half of the next year.
It seems to be certainly inclined towards the net. This ambitious announcement of the company is already being seen as a main competitor to microsoft though some analysts do state that microsoft will still continue to rule the markets.
I personally feel that this new OS is certainly going to be received well by the people given its net capabilities but windows will continue to be the main OS of the the peole.

windows 7 has received an unprecedented success with it being in heavy demand with the over 50% discount being offered on its various different editions .
It has constantly been an awaited product for most professionals who are still on XP and is expected to hit the markets somewhere in November.
With the amount of competition that it is facing with even Google upping the ante we may see a much better upgrade to the Vista version. It is also probable that Microsoft uses better marketing skills for this much awaited product to be a huge success.
